Gift Shopping 101
It's that time of the year again..
為了蘇格蘭經濟起飛的歲月盡過不少力,最投入的自然是推進經濟。盡全力地消費,也就是購物了！
煩惱又來了。。 問題是要想買甚麼禮物 and try my very best to minimize my tight budget!!
But the thing with getting gift is that I tend to buy things that I like more than the receiver, which means there is a higher chance that I ended up buying it for myself!! And most of the time, I have absolutely no idea what to get!!!
"Oh, get him something that he likes the most!" [But wont that be like so predictable and boring? 一點新鮮感都沒有！］
"Why not just get her something that you like and hope for the best?" [Risky... unless the Jap have invented the one-fit-all-sizes dild_.]
"I am not sure about that color. Maybe it's too loud for him. Here, black is safe!" [true fact, whenever in doubt, get the black color!]
The above are common advices that we often hear/give when we go present hunting. But to me, it all comes down to age old questions:

In order to help my beloved friends, I made list of things to get for me and things not to get for me!!

This is the sweet and sour pork that I made. The batter didn't turn out as expected as I used the wrong one (tempura batter).. But the sauce was not too bad.

Discovering Edinburgh
Yesterday, on my way back home, I realized that there is still a vast part of Edinburgh that I haven't ventured yet.
Hence the plan is to discover Edinburgh every week (or at least every 2 week!).

Real Scottish!!
SeeKi and ZhiVen came over all the way from Malaysia last week!
It was nice to see some familiar faces around.
And since they came alllll the way from Msia... we decided to make the best Scottish experiences for them!!!
We (Marc, Nick and I) persuaded ZV to eat haggis, tatties and nips, while the rest of us had burgers!!! [someone taught us that the best way to try haggis is to trick a friend to order it while you order something u like to eat and then 'try' it of the friend's plate!!!]
Hence, I told him the story that haggis is a four legged animal (2 short front legs and 2 long hind legs) that loves to jump around on the hill and only found in Scotland so he should try it since he came all the way here. But the truth is... haggis is more than just that!! (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haggis)
Haha.. His face was not very convinced and he asked us if it is supposed to taste like this!! We all tasted haggis in the end. And to be honest, I quite liked it =). The texture is kinda like minced pork but the taste is strong with herbs and smell of lamb!
This is the haggis, tatties (potato) and nips (turnip).
After that, we had deep fried Mars bar as dessert. It was ok.. nothing spectacular. It's just like melted chocolate inside the batter.
Doesn't this looks like urethritis?!
They were only here in Edinburgh for a short stay but it was fun having them around. Already missing the moments where ZV choke slam SK in public!
Although it was kinda embarrassing when Mr Fong Zhi Ven decided to 'pop' a wet towel in a seafood cafe. Literally everyone in the cafe turned and looked at us. The best part was Mr Fong saying "its been a long time since I popped something!!"
Ahh good times =)

L.O.N.D.O.N. 2009!
Last weekend, right after my CVS mcq exam, Nick & I went down to London to meet up with Alyssa, Yuan Lih, Pei Hua (姐姐） and Amira.
I must say...I Love London (my 1st time there)... It's such a beautiful metropolitan.. The crowd so reminded me of my beloved Tokyo. People was still buzzing around Chinatown at 11pm!!
Nick & I had a nice warm welcome from London when we saw this...
And then in King Cross tube station, I ggdotcom Alyssa and Yuan Lih when I asked them shouldn't we take the Piccadilly line to Leicester Sq (Chinatown)?! Well in all honesty, it was my Iphone 3gS that ggdotcom them! =)
I soooo sooo sooo looovvee Chinatown...yuuuummmm.. although the service there is terrible but I can't complain when I am craving for 点心。。。
Shopping is so much fun in London. =) I miss my pisang (Banana Republic)..
This trip was very fun as Hiro came along too!!!
It was very nice to meet up with the gals =) ..the original moral group member "Banana"!! And it was extremely fun re-enacting the dialogues from 宫心计 with 姐姐!

This is Trafalgar Square right in front of the National Gallery! I will definitely going in the next time I am in London!
Finally met Hoo's new beau, Fab Ian!! (Deutschland~ Ja!! Gute Nackt meine liebe!) Very nice guy and blushes easily! Seeing the lovely-dovey couple makes me miss my baby more!!! T______T

最竟我觉得我自己好像没有那么容易生气。特别是对Nick。有可能（大可能）是因为他已经接受了结果。
我觉得他现在对我比较真和坦白。只希望他不会变心。
Last week was Halloween. My sushi outfit was a completely failure.. I guess I should not have been so ambitious. Well, the plan was to wear a 'sushi' on the center of my t-shirt but.. the イクラ寿司 looked a bunch of eggs.. =(
so i ended up as a classical mummy.. it was fun walking around Edinburgh in a t shirt and short with only toilet paper as my jacket (luckily it didn't rain that day).
Oh and i had Haggis pizza！！！ it was not as bad as everyone proclaims it to be. maybe because of the cheese..
